We believe Jewish learning and tradition should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, background, geography, scheduling restraints, or religious affiliation. Through flexible online Jewish education, we strive to make B’nai Mitzvah preparation a meaningful and enriching journey for adolescent students, while offering adult students expansive and invigorating opportunities to explore Jewish history, wisdom, and spirituality.

Additionally, we offer compassionate clergy services for life cycle events. When providing pastoral support for life’s most precious milestones, it is important to us to meet individuals and families where they are. We welcome those who seek traditional, secular, spiritual, or interfaith experiences—and everything in between.

We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to engage in Jewish teachings and traditions in ways that honor their unique identities, beliefs, and lives.

Meet Our Educators

Patricia Adinah Hickman is a Rabbi, Cantor, Spiritual Director/Companion and a Wisdom Keeper. She served as Spiritual Leader of Temple Israel of Brevard County in Melbourne, Florida for almost 20 years. Rabbi Pat, as her congregants loved to call her, retired recently, remaining as Rabbi Emerita to her beloved congregation. She received ordination from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion as Cantor in 1989 and now holds a Doctorate of Jewish Music from the same institution. In 2012, she was ordained as Rabbi from the Rabbinical Academy/Mesifa Wolkowisk, Inc and in 2017, as Mashpi’ah Ruchanit/Spiritual Director through ALEPH, the Alliance of Jewish Renewal. Ever the student, Rabbi Pat recently became a Vatikah, a Wisdom Keeper, through the Age-ing to Sage-ing® Mentorship Training Program sponsored by the Yerusha Academy. Rabbi Hickman is a member of Sage-ing International and Spiritual Directors International.

Rabbi Hickman’s passion for Interfaith activities led her to form Interfaith United, Inc., a gathering of varied faith communities in Brevard County. They come together for forums in education and understanding, community service projects and their most amazing event, United in Thanksgiving. She is the Secretary of their board. The Rabbi has a deep connection to helping others through their grief and loss and has applied her many skills to journeying this road with those in need. This past year she has served as Chaplain for VITAS Healthcare Hospice. Her passion is to help people find a connection to the God of their understanding, even as they and their families travel the road of transition and grief. Through Spiritual Direction and workshops offered in Sage-ing, she continues to bring her kindness and wisdom to a world in need of healing.

Jenny Hickman is an arts worker, educator and mental health professional. Jenny received an education in Jewish liturgy and Torah cantillation from her mother from an early age. She has provided both educational services and High Holiday cantorial soloist services to synagogues around the country for over a decade, including but not limited to organizations in New York City, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and across the state of Florida. When working with students preparing for their B’nai Mitzvah ceremonies, she strives to make cantillation and Hebrew decoding accessible, rewarding, and fun. As a Licensed Master Social Worker, she has successfully blended her training in child development and anxiety management strategy with Jewish liturgical knowledge to provide a uniquely supportive educational environment for her students.

In addition to her work in Jewish education, she holds a wide range of interests and wears many hats. Jenny holds a B.F.A in Musical Theater from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a Master of Social Work from the University at Buffalo. An experienced vocalist and performing artist, she most recently toured the country performing with the Broadway national tour of the Tony award winning revival of “Parade.” In the social work world, she has provided services for New York area Holocaust survivors, co-facilitated bereavement and caregiver support groups, and provided individual counseling for the LGBTQ+ community.

Jenny’s vocal and cantorial services are available as an add-on to Rabbi Pat’s clergy services.
